The Fourth Judicial Circuit Court uses General Magistrates and Child Support Enforcement Hearing Officers to aid in the resolution of family law cases.
The use of General Magistrates is authorized by Rule 12.490, Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure. General Magistrates conduct temporary and post-judgment hearings in domestic relations cases and are used in Clay, Duval, and Nassau Counties.
The use of Child Support Enforcement Hearing Officers is authorized by Rule 12.491, Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure. Child Support Enforcement Hearing Officers conduct hearings regarding the establishment, enforcement and modification of Title IV child support and are used in Clay, Duval, and Nassau Counties.
